Lambert to Debut First Song in 2012 Movie
San
Diego’s own, Adam Lambert, has been chosen
to sing on the new apocalyptic film, 2012. Lambert
who was the favorite to win the most recent season
on American Idol is a San Diego bred talent.
Born in Indianapolis, he moved to Southern California
to grow up in our beloved city. Raised in Rancho
Penasquitos, he attended Mt. Carmel High School.
Like many do, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue
his career.
Starting off in theater and performing in a number
of bands and shows, it was only a matter of time
until Lambert got on American Idol. Dazzling the
audience and fans worldwide, Lambert was a new
shining star that burned brighter than most idol
contestants. Picked to win, and pegged as the
favorite amongst the Idol community, Lambert surprisingly
lost. Despite his loss, Lambert was set to do
bigger and better things, and took it with a grain
of salt.
One of those said-to-be star moments of Lambert’s
is his new song in the film 2012.
Lambert’s contribution to the film has
been quoted by Queen’s guitarist Brian May
as “so obviously a number one hit.”
Praise from a man of May’s status is not
something that comes lightly. Obviously Lambert
amazed May with the song, showing him that the
“age of Lambert” is about to begin;
the closing of Idol was just the beginning for
him.
2012 is a film that is based around the apocalyptic
premonitions of many cultures throughout the world;
the prediction is that the last day of earth’s
existance is December 21, 2012. Human existence
as we know it may come to an end, but at least
we’ll get to rock out to Lambert’s
track as it is happening.
Lambert’s song has almost become more anticipated
than the film itself. Many people have been waiting
to see what Lambert will do next, and how he has
transformed himself after his appearance on American
Idol.
The song is said to be so great, we here at the
Entertainer believe it will launch him into iconic
status and will jump start his career into a whole
other realm. To let you know how powerful his
song is said to be, and probably is, here is the
direct quote from Brian May. He is not some slouch
in music, and his opinion almost guarantees the
song as a smashing hit.
“I have to say I was completely blown away
… it’s truly sensational. In fact
it’s so obviously a number one smash, any
bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not
kidding. I’m not easily moved to jelly by
male vocalists … but Adam’s voice
reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity,
and awesome range and power which will make jaws
drop all around the world. It’s an awesome
performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock
has a bright new star.” |
