Unusual Sightings

I live in Grande Prairie Alberta Canada. I have been aware of what is going on for a long time now, About 5 weeks ago I noticed a star in the sky that seemed out of place, 4 weeks ago my brother in law was out at a lake and noticed a very bright light in the sky. He took some pics of it with his camera (I have them attached) I have been watching it closely for the past weeks now I have even put my sons telescope to it. It is a orange/white ball. I have noticed also that it is the same spot every night and tracks to the west as the night goes on. I Dont know much about astronomy but it definatley seems unusual to me. Is there any way I can find out if it is normal or not? It is directy south of us at 10pm mst two hands above the horizion. Thanks and I look forward to hear back from you,
